Designing and Implementation of a Flexible Institution System According to New Standards to Ensure the Quality of Educational Process in Higher Education Institutions
This paper aims to benefit from advanced Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to improve teaching and learning process. This will be done through the design of a flexible system to measure the performance and quality of educational institutions according to new standards to ensure quality in the educational process, based on the components of the educational process, represented in members of the academic staff, the level of students, academic programs, university administration and buildings & utilities, in order to cope with the difficulties encountering the educational process in its current situation, which acts as an obstacle for ensuring the quality of its output. The paper concluded (through the designed model) to provide a flexible standard that commensurate with the various educational environments, through which measurement of standard implementation range, quality standards and practices in the institution, in addition to points of weakness that necessitate improvement process to guarantee quality of its output by what achieves the entire targets of the institution. ...
Designing Vertical Model to Cope Urban Sprawl in Khartoum State Using GIS software
The main purpose of this paper is to seek and counter the accelerated horizontal urban sprawl that came as a result of steady population growth in Khartoum state. Using computer tools (GIS software) to design vertical model for (Khartoum central area) in accordance with the modern planning standards, in order to contribute in the process of population distribution and acquiring a large swath of land that can be exploited and reimagined, commensurating with the strategic plans of the State. An Spatial Interpolation was made to identify the shallows of Earth as it is the fundamental basis in the urban planning process, and then manipulating the map and download metadata, linking it with Oracle database to absorb the maximum amount of digital and analytical data. Then after that using Arc Scene to build the new vertical model, through separating the study area (Khartoum central area) from the buildings layer and add a field named (height) to show the new vertical model with the possibility of responding to various queries that can illustrate the advantage of vertical construction. The paper concluded that the area gained and calculated by the system after the proposed vertical design represent [1:2] of the status quo, which two thirds of the total area of the region. ...
The Use of Data Mining Techniques in Analysing Traffic Accidents ( An application on Khartoum State)
This paper presents a sample of mining algorithms in data represented in "One R, J48, Naïve Bayesian" to know its optimal which pertains to analysis of traffic accidents in Khartoum State occurring through years 2007 – 2016.It is important to note that 389931 record was analysed by the statistical reports structure to reach the mining stage in data in order to creating a mechanism that is capable of studying the elements which smartly play a significant part in traffic accidents for connection. The range of relation designation between them, and its significance in traffic accidents percentage is implemented on Weka program to apply algorithms in data and ,accordingly, the presentation of the results together with analysis since the results showed that the performance of J48 algorithm generally is of more qualifications and surpasses than the other algorithms in accidents data group. It spent 0.02 seconds and the rate of error in the sample was 0.02 through its implementation and assisted in the prediction of data. The paper concludes with the implementation of J48 classification algorithms for the production of the decision tree through Weka to the point of the existence of classification of cars' accidents which occurred according to time and harm. It also shows that the harm damage rate is of the highest reaching 301394 at the rate of 77.3%, and that 2012 and 2011 accidents were the highest of all years at the rate of 11.3%, and the rate of the lowest accidents in 2007 was 7.4%. ...

The Effectiveness and Efficiency of Medical Images after Special Filtration from the View of Medical Specialist An Application on Khartoum Hospital-Suda

There are many factors which have influences on the quality of medical images, so this paper gives a brief narration on the important techniques that produce acceptable quality to medical images. To ensure the validity of this techniques towards medical images, a questionnaire was designed and distributed to a number of doctors and professionals. The survey aims to assess the medical image specialists by regarding their point of views towards the impact of filtering medical images after processing using these techniques. MatLab package used to apply the techniques.

Big Data and Challenges of the Century

: Research conducted to explore the importance and value of Big data In today‘s world. Its sources, features, and challenges. Big Data is used by many companies and organizations, for analysis purpose, utilizing their personal as well as organizational benefits, profits and achieving goals. It is not easy to process this data using data processing applications which are traditional. There are challenges like analysis, search, duration, exchange of data, storage of data, visualization, and privacy and security violations. The large database is in trend due to the large information derived by analysis of large corelevant data set, as and when they compared with different smaller sets with the same total amount of data, allowing relationships to be found in "spotting business trends, to prevent diseases, controlling crime and so on." It is tough to process Big data using specifically the co-relational database sets and management systems as well as desktop statistics and visualization packages, instead of that requiring "parallel software executing on tens, few, or even thousands of servers". So Big data generally includes database with sizes which are beyond the ability of generally used software techniques to capture, cure, manage, and processing of data in the tolerable specified time. In Big data "size" is a continuously moving goal, as it is changing from a some dozen terabytes to many petabytes of data. The paper concluded that the Hadoop can resolve the problem of Big Data and will be able to overcome the future challenges. The paper also concluded...

Recent Trends in Education in Sudan: Mobile-Learning Model

This paper aims to clarify the basic concepts and benefits of mobile learning M-Learning, and try to find a good reference definition of mobile learning. The vision is about how to benefit from the advanced information and communication technology in such a way that can enable the teaching and learning process to meet the challenges and threats of current and future issues, in order to ensure the continuity of survival and the achievement of sustainable development goals. The paper concluded the necessity need of trying to build and set up a plan for e-learning, depending on a framework in accordance with Sudanese environment which will consist of five components: management, information and communications technology, educational ethics, and evaluation. in addition, the new roles of the educational process in term of its three pillars: the learner, curriculum, and teacher, had been reviewed and discussed.

Measuring Sensitivity Secure Login Information Systems by using SPSS Software (An application on Neelain university – SUDAN )

Research conducted to measure the sensitivity of secure login information (username / password) in the field of electronic systems through three different electronic systems in nature (electronic tests, electronic banking accounts and personal sites for social networking),by using SPSS program. Application on the community of (Neelain university – SUDAN). Targeting a random sample of (80) respondents from the university (Students and teaching staff members – males and females). Research concluded that the three systems (electronic tests, electronic banking accounts and personal sites for social networking), differ statistically and significantly in the extent of their need to secure access to data entry (username / password). It concluded that the electronic banking system is more sensitive compared to the other systems. Followed by the electronic testing systems then the social networking systems. Research applied (T) Test and examined that there is a general interest in securing the login information (username / password) in the field of electronic systems.

Risks and Threats Facing Information Security in the Age of Knowledge Society

Information Security in Automated Systems is considered to be one of the most interesting topics that attract researchers and those dealing with such systems. It is well known that the popularity and persistent existence of computers in information systems management played a great role in developing and raising the efficiency of these systems, however, their dependability, reliability, and their ability to protect confidential information against intrusion together with their ability in managing these systems persistently and accurately remains under consideration. The major objective of this paper is to review the threats and attacks faced by information environment, and to propose scientific mechanisms and means that can help raising security efficiency and providing information protection that commensurate with the information technologies in the current times.
