Scholarship and Higher Education Unit in Al-aflaj Colleges of Sciences and Humanities
Introduction
Based on the care of our university, Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, to develop and advance the performance of its employees, their skills and competence; and in view of the great importance of its teaching assistants, lecturers and scholarship students in forming one of the most important units in the college in order to prepare a distinguished cadres of faculty members, who are qualified scientifically , and distinguished in research skills . Therefore, In accordance with the university vison, The college has established a specialized unit called the "Scholarship Unit" which works at providing full supports to this important unit by guiding and supporting the scholarship employees academically related to the procedures of scholarship as well as following up on their scholarships, contributing to overcoming difficulties, and providing solutions to the challenges that may delay their progression in cooperation with cultural representatives and the related university unit.

Scholarship Unit is a unit that seeks to identify and follow-up faculty members who have received scholarships, whether inside the Kingdom or on scholarships outside the Kingdom to obtain language, master’s degrees, doctoral degrees, or post-doctoral research.

Mission
With Allah’s help, we work on scholarships to find educational and research channels for faculty members at the leading local and international universities to ensure advancement in research, creativity and education.
Objectives:
1. Assisting teaching assistants and lecturers in obtaining acceptance from local and international universities.
2. Keeping records of the number of students on scholarships and classifying them in accordance to their specializations and the universities they are being sent to.
3. Motivating and guiding teaching assistants and lecturers at the college, and urging them to obtain acceptance in the shortest time after appointment.
4. Follow up on the various procedures for facilitating the scholarships of teaching assistants and lecturers.
5. Communicate with scholarship students during the scholarship period to transfer global expertise to their college.
6. Assisting in solving the problems and difficulties facing scholarship students.
Tacks:
1- Organizing training programs (periodically) that qualify the scholarship cadres to prepare for and take the international exams, which are essential condition for getting admission for the international universities.
2-- Organizing specialized training courses to enhance research skills.
3- Supporting teaching assistants and lecturers to obtain academic admissions in distinguished universities.
4-- Building effective international partnerships with the other remarkable universities.
5- Facilitating scholarship procedures.
6- Preparing annual statistical records of the unit .
7- Establishing and developing a data platform for university teaching assistants and lecturers.
8- Activating an effective communication and connect with university scholarships.
9- Overcoming the challenges and problems that may stand in the path of the scholarship students in order to achieve their academic goals and objectives.
