Information Technology Unit
Overview:
A specialized unit in technology and technical support seeks to meet the needs of the college and its employees in technology and resources, and the unit in cooperation with the Deanship of Information Technology at the University provides the best technical equipment and services.
Functions and Duties:
1- Provide technical support services to all different technical devices and programs.
2- Update, install and maintain the required programmes.
3- Adding devices and accessories to computers.
4- Follow-up the computer labs and perform the necessary periodic maintenance, if necessary.
5- Follow-up breakdowns of telecommunications computer networks.
6- Provision of various electronic services to all college staff.
7- Provision of various telephone services (Active-Cancel-Modify) to College staff.
8- Receiving, distributing and organizing telephones based on the need for their use.
9- Coordinate with the departments and units of the College to identify their different needs for technical agencies and to follow up their provision with the competent authorities in order to ensure the quality and development of the work.
10- Setup and processing of computers and software for college staff.
11- Coordination with the IT deanship to provide software and computer systems.
12- Technical preparation of events held at the college.
13- Technical supervision of all installation of technical devices received at the college.
14- Regular maintenance work at the end of each school year by making sure the devices work well.
15- Preparation of reports on the validity of the devices.
